Gewoonlik is daar &#8216;n markie by die stasie, waar van vars vrugte en groente tot handgemaakte artikels verkoop word, maar Sondag was spesiaal, want Ceres Rail het sy tiende verjaardag by die unieke stasie gevier.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sommer met die intrapslag kon &#8216;n mens die feestelike atmosfeer aanvoel en omstanders het opgewonde gewag vir die trein om op die stasie aan te kom. Die besoekers, wat op die unieke trein van Ceres Rail gery het, kon nie uitgepraat raak oor die natuurskoon en die wonderlike gasvryheid van die personeel nie. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ons het van die Kaap af gekom en dit is &#8216;n besondere ondervinding. Ek het nostalgies by die venster uitgekyk en gedink aan my kinderjare toe ek elke vakansie van my skool tot by my ouerhuis gereis het,&#8221; het een gas ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nog iemand wat vir die eerste keer op Ceres Rail se trein gery het, meen dit is iets wat op almal se emmerskoplys moet wees. &#8220;Veral die jongklomp moet so &#8216;n ervaring deurmaak \u2013 dit is min dat jy so &#8216;n geleentheid in Suid-Afrika kry,&#8221; het sy ges\u00ea.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met hul aankoms in Botrivier is hulle  deur die vriendelike personeel begroet. Die &#8220;stasiemeester&#8221;, die Botrivier-inwoner Tersia Muller, het spesiaal haar Bowler-hoed van Londen gedra. Sy het ook met trots die geskiedenis van die hoed met die mense bespreek. Met hul aankoms kon hulle deur die stalletjies stap, lafenis by die stasie se restaurant kry en daarna vir &#8216;n heerlike ete aansit. Die bekende Marimba-orkes het die mense met hul vrolike klanke vermaak en almal was dit eens dat dit &#8216;n onvergeetlike ondervinding was.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selfs die onderburgemeester van die Theewaterskloof-munisipaliteit, Cynthia Clayton, het die rit meegemaak. Die organiseerders het ook die inwoners en die munisipalieit bedank vir hul gasvryheid en vir dit wat hulle vir die stasie beteken.
