Classical music lovers can look forward to two concerts over two consecutive weekends this month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first concert to be hosted by Overstrand Arts\/ Kunste (OAK) is on Sunday 14 September and features the Trio Mosaic with Liesl Stoltz on flute, Han Jonkers on guitar and Nicolas Corti on viola in a compelling and rare instrumental combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fresh from their inaugural tour in Switzerland earlier this year, with performances in Zurich, Arosa, and Olten, Trio Mosaic now brings their blend of timbres and textures to South African audiences with a tour spanning nine cities from Pretoria to Stellenbosch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each member of the ensemble brings a wealth of experience and artistry from diverse musical traditions, creating a unique sound that is both refined and adventurous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South African flutist, Liesl Stoltz, is a multi-award-winning soloist, educator, and recording artist. Han Jonkers, an accomplished Dutch guitarist based in Switzerland, has won accolades at major international competitions and is renowned for his work as a soloist, chamber musician, and champion of new guitar music. Nicolas Corti, Swiss violist and founding member of the esteemed Amati Quartet, whose collaborations with world-renowned artists and commitment to innovative ensemble work have earned him widespread recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance is in Sunday 14 September at 15:30 at the Hermanus Cvic Auditorium. This one-hour programme promises a rich Audiences can expect an intimate and inspiring one-hour journey through classical and contemporary works tailored for this unique trio instrumentation. It is part of Trio Mosaic\u2019s much-anticipated South African tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second performance is on Sunday 21 September at 15:30 in the Hermanus Civic Auditorium. The audience can look forward to an enchanting performance by the renowned Italian pianist Filippo Gorini who has been hailed as \u201can heir to Pollini\u201d (Corriere della Sera) and praised for his \u201cbrave, original playing\u201d (The Guardian).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gorini is currently based between Cape Town and Stellenbosch for five weeks of performances and outreach as part of his visionary philanthropic project, Sonata for 7 Cities. SA is the second stop in a tour that began at the Vienna Konzerthaus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A core focus of the project is educational outreach in schools and music centers for youth, including the Handevat Music Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
