Eon, tans stasiehoof van Fine Music Radio, was vanaf die jare tagtig \u2019n bekende naam op Suid-Afrikaanse radio en televisie en later ook \u0149 huishoudelike gesig in programme soos <EM>Pasella, Potpourri, GMSA<\/EM> en <EM>Morning Live<\/EM>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Op radio het hy sy uitsaailoopbaan by Radio Highveld (later Highveld Stereo) begin en later aangesluit by Radio 5 (nou 5FM) as spitsprogram-aanbieder. Benewens verskeie bestuursposisies in openbare betrekkinge en reklame by \u2019n vooraanstaande agentskap, het Eon ook gedien as besturende direkteur van Highveld Stereo en was hy die stigtings \u2013 besturende direkteur van Classic FM in Johannesburg.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eon se passie vir lugvaart het hom verskeie lug-akrobatiese toekennings besorg, en hy het as senior kaptein by \u2019n plaaslike kommersi\u00eble lugredery afgetree voordat hy by Fine Music Radio aangesluit het.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sedert 2013 het die FynArts-fees gegroei tot een van Suid-Afrika se voorste multi-kunstefeeste. Dit het \u2019n lewendige jaarlikse viering van kreatiwiteit en kultuur geword wat musiek, visuele kunste, letterkunde, kulin\u00eare ervarings en stimulerende gesprekke saamweef. Die fees ondersteun ook \u2019n florerende Ontwikkelingsfonds wat in vennootskap met kunsorganisasies en onderwysinstellings werk.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oor sy aanstelling het Eon ges\u00ea: &#8220;\u201cFynArts het \u2019n hoeksteen van die Suid-Afrikaanse kultuurkalender geword, en dit is vir my \u2019n eer om met die volgende hoofstuk toevertrou te word. Ek sien uit daarna om saam met die toegewyde span, kunstenaars en bre\u00ebr gemeenskap voort te bou op Mary se buitengewone nalatenskap.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Faure het haar vertroue in die oorgang uitgespreek: \u201cDit was \u2019n groot voorreg om FynArts van sy vroegste dae af te lei. Ek glo dat Eon se kombinasie van ervaring, visie en sy diep liefde vir die kunste hom ideaal maak om die fees na sy volgende era te lei. Ek wens hom alle sukses toe.\u201d<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die voorsitter van die FynArts-bestuurskomitee, Richard King, het Eon hartlik verwelkom in die FynArts-familie. Hy het die opregte dank van kunsliefhebbers, kunstenaars en die gemeenskap oorgedra aan Mary vir haar uitsonderlike leierskap in die omskepping van \u2019n beskeie kunsbyeenkoms tot een van Suid-Afrika se voorste winterfeeste \u2013 \u2019n viering van uitvoerende en visuele kunste, kos, musiek, film en denke.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoewel Mary as Feesdirekteur uittree, sal sy voortgaan om projekte vir die FynArts-ontwikkelingsfonds te bevorder en te implementeer, wat ten doel het om groei, bevordering en opvoeding in die kunste aan te moedig.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hy was in die jare tagtig &#8216;n bekende op radio en televisie.
