I think it is safe to say we are all loving our parkrun on Audacia, especially on a beautiful morning such as last Saturday (17 May). \r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fresh air, the views, the camaraderie and the exercise, all food for the soul. \r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, it is evident that not all are loving it. \r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Quite the opposite, in fact.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stellenbosch Municipality has received complaints alleging that some parkrunners did not stick to the approved course as laid out, marked with signs and hazard tape, and indicated by marshals.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second complaint concerned traffic at the traffic lights on the R44.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Folks, please, we do not want to lose the Root44 parkrun. Stick to the route, keep your voices down and arrive in time so traffic doesn’t build up at the traffic light.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It would be really sad if Stellenbosch Municipality closed us down. It is literally in your, er, legs.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let’s do this right.\r<\/p>\n\n\n\n
