The e’Bosch Festival of Talents 2025 is more than just a talent competition \u2013 it’s a catalyst for opportunity, fostering job creation, discovering exceptional talent, and nurturing the next generation of leaders who will inspire and uplift their communities. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We have exciting news for aspiring talents! Finalists in the prestigious e’Bosch Festival of Talents 2025 will receive payment for their participation and also have the opportunity to win cash prizes at the highly anticipated Gala Event on Heritage Day (24 September),” said Marthie Hauptfleisch, music director of the festival.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year’s festival is sponsored by the National Lotteries Commission, Wesgro, and the provincial Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along with the monetary incentive in a bid to encourage young talent, entry for school learners is free, making this an unmissable opportunity for the next generation of performers and creatives. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As much as this festival is about showcasing skills, it is also about empowerment and helping emerging artists carve a path toward success,” Hauptfleisch added.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Finalists won’t just perform, they will grow. As part of the experience, they will attend exclusive workshops designed to equip independent artists with essential stage etiquette, industry insights, and strategies for building a sustainable career in the arts.”\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Free workshops for aspiring performers will also be held. Aspiring stage performers now have the chance to hone their skills for free in upcoming workshops hosted by the organisers of the e’Bosch Festival of Talents 2025. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Workshops will be held for four consecutive Saturdays starting 10 May. The sessions will cover various disciplines from solo or group singing, hip-hop and gospel, poetry, storytelling, to stand-up comedy.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The first workshop will be held at the e’Bosch headquarters, 116 Dorp Street, and starts at 09:00. It is mainly for those who want guidance on singing for groups of up to five performers. Participants will receive expert training in stage presence, professional etiquette, and performance technique,” said Hauptfleisch.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Saturdays workshops will cover singing (10 May), hip-hop (17 May), stand-up comedy (24 May), and storytelling (31 May). Reservations can be made on 061 595 4085 and are restricted on a first-come basis because of limited space. “Although we offer free entry for school learners, those attending the workshops will also be able to waive the R100 entry fee for the competition this year,” Hauptfleisch pointed out.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Preference will be given to entrants from the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek regions and especially from the dorpies such as Cloetesville, Devon Valley,\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Groendal, Faure, Ida’s Valley, Jamestown, Khayamandi, Klapmuts, Kylemore, Lanquedoc, Pnie\u0308l, Raithby, Stellenbosch Central, Vlottenburg, Wemmershoek, and the farming communities.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The entry deadline for the competition is Saturday 14 June. Contestants need to submit a three-minute demo video (max 50MB, portrait format), which will be reviewed by a panel of judges. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
