Die plaaslike munisipaliteit het ‘n aansoek na die hof gebring om die Cova Da Iria Trust, die eienaars van die grond, te verplig om binne drie maande ‘n geotegniese ondersoek-verslag aan te vra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hierdie verslag, wat deur die trust opgestel moet word, sal dan binne drie maande gebruik word om die nodige proses te lei, wat die rehabilitasie van die eiendom tot die natuurlike grondvlak sal beteken.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die twee studente is dae lank gesoek voordat hulle in hul Subaru Forester in Oktober 2022 in die gat van die verlate bouperseel dood aangetref is. Die gat (steengroef) was in daardie stadium met water gevul.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die gat op die perseel was deel van ‘n ontwikkelingsprojek wat bykans drie dekades gelede gestaak is toe die ontwikkelaars glo nie aan sekere bouvereistes voldoen het nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die munisipaliteit se poging om die eienaar te kry om die grond te ontwikkel of die gat te vul, was tot op hede onsuksesvol. N\u00e1 die ongeluk het die eienaars wel ‘n tydelik omheining om die perseel opgerig. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die munisipaliteit het gister (Woensdag 23 April) in ‘n verklaring verduidelik die hof- aksie volg n\u00e1 jare se “uitputtende pogings” om die probleem in die besige straat “vriendelik” op te los.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
