Die stof rondom die plek waar Franschhoek se La Motte-rugby-klub vanjaar gaan speel, het nog nie gaan l\u00ea nie. Di\u00e9 klub is tans in ‘n regstryd met die Westelike Provinsie- en Boland-rugbyunies gewikkel, s\u00ea Darryl Farmer, ‘n\u2009woordvoerder van die klub, aan Eikestadnuus op ‘n vraag of die verskille tussen die unies en die klub al bygel\u00ea is.

“Die saak is in die hande van ons regsverteenwoordigers. Ons, as klub, het besluit om by die Boland-rugbyunie aan te sluit\u2009.\u2009.\u2009. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ons aansoek is op die jaar- vergadering van die Boland-rugbyunie op 30 November verlede jaar vir affiliasie by Boland bekragtig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“WP het egter geweier …\u2009en sonder ons toestemming of ooreenkoms besluit om ons in sy noordelike liga te plaas.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die seisoen het op 1 April in die WP begin en La Motte het nog geen wedstryde in die noordelike liga gespeel nie. Farmer s\u00ea dat die klub sal voortgaan met sy stryd om binne die strukture van die Boland-rugbyunie erken te word.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Boland- en WP-rugbyunies wou nie kommentaar lewer nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
