The exhibition ignites fresh sparks and interchange between local and visiting artists and audiences from the continent and the world at large. \u2022 Stellenbosch: Experience the magic of nature at the “Sunset to Full Moon” hike at MURATIE WINE ESTATE<\/a>. The scenic 3,5 km circular hike leads to a stunning lookout with views of the Simonsberg, Table Mountain and the Cape Winelands. It is timed perfectly for sunset (18:26) and moonrise (17:39). Hikers can take a picnic, blanket and torch along. Muratie wines will be available at the lookout point, as well as a coffee station until 19:30. There will also be a lucky draw. \u2022 Stellenbosch: The 100-voice National Youth Choir (UK) will present a 50 minute a capella concert in the perfect acoustics of the ENDLER HALL at 17:00. The concert will be conducted by one of Britain’s foremost young conductors, Nicholas Chalmers, and will include a diverse programme of works ranging from Anton Bruckner to “Bare Necessities”. The choristers, who are aged from 18 to 25 years, form the flagship choir of the National Youth Choir’s four ensembles. The full concert programme comprises “Numbers” by Shruthi Rajasekar, “Tallis Canon” arranged by Bob Chilcott, Bruckner’s “Locus iste”, “Os Juste” and “Christus Factus Est”, “Ave Maria” by Franz Biebl, “All creatures now” by John Bennet, “Irish Tune” from County Derry, “Auld Land Syne”, “My spirit sang all day” by Gerald Finzi, “Abendlied” by Josef Rheinberger, “The Road Home” by Stephen Paulus, “Word” by Joanna Marsh and Berty Rice’s arrangement of “Bare Necessities”.
