One of the Cape’s most beloved fundraising events will again take place on Table Mountain on Saturday 10 May. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cableway Charity Challenge 2025, hosted by Table Mountain Aerial Cableway (TMACC), calls on the public to be a part of the action by cheering on participants, pledging your support through generous donations, and enjoying a day on the mountain.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the day, individual athletes, schools and corporate teams will hike Platteklip Gorge as many times as possible between sunrise and sunset, to raise funds for four beneficiaries: Ubuntu Football, Funda Kunye, Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS) and Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its inception in 2009, the event has raised millions for local charities. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TMACC is urging the public to support participants as they strive to reach the R1 million fundraising goal on the day.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Cableway Charity Challenge is a highlight on the city’s trail running calendar,” said Selma Hercules. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public can show your support by pledging funds to a participant of the challenge, making a general donation, or simply joining in the excitement on the day. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
