Volgens Open Stellenbosch is die studente deur lede van kampussekuriteit genader en is lasbriewe aan hulle oorhandig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hulle word daarvan beskuldig dat hulle die standbeeld op die US se Rooiplein gevandaliseer het tydens the #EndOutsourcing-betogings wat verlede jaar plaasgevind het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beeldmateriaal wat op YouTube beskikbaar is, toon hoe studente rommel op die standbeeld strooi terwyl ander studente probeer om dit skoon te maak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US-woordvoerder Martin Viljoen s\u00ea videobeeldmateriaal is gebruik om die studente te identifiseer en hulle is nie tydelik geskors nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Nico Koopman, waarnemende viserektor: sosiale impak, transformasie en personeel, het bevestig die studente is in kennis van die ondersoek gestel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSewe studente van Universiteit Stellenbosch het kennisgewings ontvang in verband met aanklagte van beskadiging van eiendom en pogings om \u2019n eksamen te onderbreek tydens werknemers se protes teen uitkontraktering op 17 November 2015.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
