Wiskundige geletterdheid is \u2019n praktiese vak wat leerders toerus met die nodige wiskundige vaardighede vir die alledaagse lewe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2019n Behoefte aan verryking en erkenning is onder leerders in wiskundige geletterdheid ge\u00efdentifiseer. Die doel van die olimpiade is om die waarde van hierdie vak te beklemtoon en \u2019n passie daarvoor by leerders te kweek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Altesaam 250 entoesiastiese leerders van reg oor die Kaapse Wynland-distrik het elektronies aan die olimpiade by hul onderskeie skole deelgeneem en het gewys hulle werk ontsettend hard en verdien dieselfde geleenthede as in ander vakke. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rinette Bruwer en Louise van Rensburg van Ho\u00ebrskool Stellenbosch het die olimpiade onder leiding van Esta Harvie, \u2019n WKOD-vakadviseur, begin om leerders \u2019n geleentheid te gee om op streekvlak mee te ding. Die toppresteerders in die kompetisie was Chane Crocker (1ste) en Nika Coetzee (2de), albei van die Ho\u00ebr Meisieskool Bloemhof, en Francois Davy (gesamentlik tweede) van Ho\u00ebrskool Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
