There seems to be no end in sight for farm robberies and attacks in the Drakenstein area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two security guards were overpowered by three robbers on the farm Drakenzicht in Groot Drakenstein. The attack happened on Sunday night (22\u2009February) at around 22:45. The three robbers entered the premises and tied up the security guards with a rope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of them was armed with a firearm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspects stole sound equipment and 19 solar panels. According to a police spokesperson a reward of R20\u2009000 is being offered for the stolen goods as both the sound equipment and solar panels are rare and valuable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one was physically harmed in the robbery and the police is investigating a case of business robbery. Groot Drakenstein police station did not respond to this newspaper\u2019s questions in time for print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
