Die Afrikaanse musikant Corn\u00e9 Pretorius het Suid-Afrikaners sedert die bekendstelling van sy debuutliedjies \u201cVuur en Vlam\u201d, \u201cVergewe My\u201d en \u201cHalfvol\u201d in 2020 op hul voete. Vroeg verlede jaar het hy met Die Heuwels Fantasties en Ampie kragte saamgespan om die somer-braai-liedjie \u201cBiertjies\u201d saam te stel. Nadat di\u00e9 liedjie positiewe terugvoer van aanhangers opgelewer het, het Pretorius bogenoemde musikante gevra of hulle belang sou stel in die bekendstelling van \u2019n bier ter viering van die liedjie.
