Johann Krige, mede-eienaar van Kanonkop-wynlandgoed in Stellenbosch, is verkies as vanjaar se president van die Internasionale Wyn- en Spiritus-kompetisie (IWSK), die w\u00eareld se voorste kompetisie in die identifisering van uitnemendheid in internasionale wyn en spiritualie\u00eb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Krige is slegs die tweede Suid-Afrikaner wat hierdie eer behaal het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die ander is wyle dr. Anton Rupert van die destydse Rembrandt-groep, wat in 1996 IWSK-president was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Volgens Christelle Guibert, opsiener van die IWSK, vereer die VK- gebaseerde organisasie elke jaar \u2019n president wie se bydrae tot die w\u00eareld van wyn of spiritualie\u00eb \u2019n ware voorstander op alle vlakke in die gebied was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kanonkop, internasionaal erken as Suid-Afrika se voorste rooiwynplaas, is in die verlede vier keer aangewys as wenner van die prys as IWSK se Wynmaker van die jaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die een keer was met Beyers Truter en drie keer die huidige Kanonkop- keldermeester, Abrie Beeslaar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kanonkop het ook die IWSK se Uitstaande Wynprodusentetrofee in 2019 gewen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Krige s\u00ea dit is \u2019n geweldige eer, persoonlik sowel as vir Kanonkop en die Suid-Afrikaanse wynbedryf, om as IWSK-president gekies te word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
