\u201cThe Youth Day programme at De Laer Venue included a group performance of the United Light e\u2019Bosch song and artists such as Clayton Apollis, Lucian de Koker, Jeandre Bostander and Lee-ron Maart, the Khayamandi Traditional Dance Group under directorship of Siyabonga Mini, Roswil, and Granville Carlson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All the performances spoke to a future desirable identity that Granville best caught with his performance of daydreaming,\u201d said Dr Sias Mostert from e\u2019Bosch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Youth Day participants included the programme organisers of the dorpies<\/i> of Ida\u2019s Valley, Khayamandi, Wemmershoek, Raithby, Klapmuts, Vlottenburg, Jamestown, Stellenbosch Central and Cloetesville. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Skills were taught to participants, with the aim to transfer these skills to school children and other youths in future. Expert crafter Doreen Hayes provided training in crafts to those in attendance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe stations each empowered the more than 45 participants with skills that can be transferred to children,\u201d Mostert added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
