The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) will host a benefit gala in partnership with the Friends of Orchestral Music (FOM) at the Artscape on Tuesday 12 July at 19:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert will be conducted by the CPO\u2019s principal guest conductor, Bernhard Gueller, and features two international stars, Dutch\/English violinist Daniel Rowland and Serbian cellist Maja Bogdanovic. The charismatic couple will perform the \u201cBrahms Double Concerto\u201d<\/i>, a work they both love and enjoy performing together. It will begin with the overture from \u201cLa Forza del destino\u201d<\/i><\/span>by Verdi and conclude with the firecracker, the \u201cSymphony no 5\u201d<\/i> by Beethoven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rowland and Bogdanovic are also set to perform at the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival, which starts on Friday 1 July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tickets for the concert at the Atrscape cost R650 per person and can be booked by calling Dial-a-Seat on 021 421 7695 or online via Computicket.
