The Theatrix Singers of Stellenbosch, formerly known as the Klein Libertas Theatre Choir, will present their latest production, I Started a Joke<\/i>, at The Daisy Jones Bar on Summerhill Farm outside Stellenbosch, from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the first theatrical production being presented at venue. It was inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic and takes a look at how the earth is being destroyed by climate change, wars, pandemics and the cruelty of humans. The show is very theatrical with costuming, sound and light effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The music and songs are well-known songs that were bespoke-arranged for the Theatrix Singers and are performed in the context of the basic theme of post-apocalyptic survival. The members of the Theatrix Singers are residents of the Helderberg and Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
