Paul Roos Gymnasium is joining the Visit Stellenbosch\u2019s Garden Town festivities by contributing its own special programme towards this year\u2019s event. The carefully curated programme includes an array of workshops, high teas, an art garden (with sculpture art by local artists) and the AFGRI Stellenbosch Spring Fair. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of these events take place between Thursday 20 and Friday 28 October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n THURSDAY 20 OCTOBER<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul Roos Gymnasium participates in Garden Town\u2019s Flower Parade. Learners from the PRG drumline will entertain those joining the progression to celebrate the official opening of Garden Town 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n FRIDAY 21 OCTOBER<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The High Tea with Dr Darren Green from 15:00 to 17:30 will include insights by actress and business owner Milan Murray and a musical performance by Luna Paige. Tickets cost R550 (all inclusive) at Quicket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From 18:00 to 20:00 the unveiling of the ABSA-PRG Art Garden, a sculpture exhibition by local artists curated by Ilse Schermers from IS Art Gallery will take place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This includes up-cycled interior art by Heath Nash and high school learners from Stellenbosch \u2013 a youth project supported by the Rupert Museum. The exhibition is at Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex. Tickets are limited at R115 via Quicket (all inclusive). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n SATURDAY 22 OCTOBER <\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The AFGRI Stellenbosch Spring Fair kicks off at Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex in Koch Street, Krigeville, Stellenbosch from 09:00 to 18:00. The Spring Fair is a one-day market catering for those with a love for and interest in delicacies within the culinary, wine and craft drink sectors; decorative art, beautiful home and garden necessities and must-haves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visitors can also look forward to relaxing moments while enjoying top-class wines from the Paul Roos Wine Emporium, beers and other drinks from Polla\u2019s Pitstop, and food prepared by deli owners and popular-by-demand food truck chefs. Tickets are R150 (adults), free entry for under 18s. The C2M Kiddies\u2019 Garden (for children under 12) costs R80 (optional) via Quicket. No parking at Mark\u00f6tter; patrons are welcome to park (at no charge) at PRG on allocated parking areas, where security will be provided. PRG is within walking distance from the Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
High school learners with an interest in careers within the agricultural sector, can also look forward to an AFGRI and John Deere exhibition, which includes informal talks on the future of agriculture and career opportunities for the youth within this sector. The C2M Kiddies\u2019 Garden will boast an array of entertaining activities, customised child-friendly stalls, nice-to-haves and scrumptious treats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABSA-PRG Art Garden & Coffee Shop will be open to the public free of charge from Sunday 23 October until Sunday 29 October. It will operate Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, and Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex. Parking will be available on the premises. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n MONDAY 24 OCTOBER<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Art of Bonsai: An information session & bonsai demonstration by Boland Bonsai Kai will be hosted at the Suite at the Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex from 10:00 to 13:00. Tickets costs R120 (includes coffee and a light snack) at Quicket. There will be a lucky draw by Bonsai Tree. The winner of the lucky draw will win a bonsai starter kit. Bonsai Tree will run a bonsai stall for all your bonsai needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n TUESDAY 25 OCTOBER<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join Nature, Pilgrimage & Mental Health with Erns Gr\u00fcndling & Lindie Stander facilitated by psychologist and author Louis Awerbuck from 18:00 to 21:00 at the Suite, Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex. Tickets cost R165 (includes complimentary glass of wine & light snack) via Quicket. A cashless bar (card facilities) will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n WEDNESDAY 26 OCTOBER<\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fermenting with Kombukarious Kombucha or make your own kimchi, learn how to make kombucha and enjoy a kombucha and Muti Gin pairing from 10:00 to 13:00 at the suite, at the Mark\u00f6tter Sports Complex. Tickets cost R500 via Quicket. (Your ticket includes a recipe book, ingredients & utensils to make your own kimchi which you can take home, a complimentary bottle of Kombukarious Kombucha, a miniature Muti Gin to pair it with and a light snack).
