Meer as 60 leiers van Cloetesville en mense wat omgee vir die welstand van hul gemeenskap het Saterdag 15 Oktober byeengekom en \u2019n besluit geneem om \u2019n platform te skep waarmee die grootste uitdagings in die gemeenskap aangepak kan word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die samekoms is die inisiatief van Malena Fourie, wat goeie ondersteuning gekry het van al die rolspelers in die gemeenskap, in samewerking met die Sentrum vir Publieke Getuienis (SPG). Die geleentheid is by die VG-kerk in Cloetesville gehou en gefasiliteer deur dr. Braam Hanekom van die sentrum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Volgens Carol Lakay van die e\u2019Bosch-erfenisprojek is besluit om \u2019n platform te skep wat in die toekoms meer gereeld sal vergader en waar die talle sake wat die hele gemeenskap raak, bespreek sal word in die hoop dat daar konkrete uitkomste sal wees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDit sluit in die vestiging van \u2019n veeldoelige sentrum waar albei vaardigheidsopleiding en die heling van trauma aangepak sal word. Die uitklaar en vestiging van nuwe waardestelsels \u2013 dit sluit respek vir mekaar en die gemeenskap in, asook die rol van ouers in die verband. Die behoeftes van jongmense, insluitend werkloosheid en dwelmmisbruik, samewerking tussen NRO\u2019s, bendes en die afwesigheid van rolmodelle, veilige ruimtes vir vermaak en leiersopleiding sal ook aan die beurt kom. Die deelnemers het besluit om \u2019n memorandum van verstandhouding op te stel wat die platform se mandaat sal bepaal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2019n Bestuurskorps van ses lede is ook gekies en sluit in Edward Crowley, Kevin Jooste, Valerie Fernandez, Magdalene Blankenberg, Marthinus Groenewald en Kauthar Adams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
