Maar, s\u00ea die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit, onwettige storting is \u2019n groot probleem wat oor ons land heen, in elke dorp, voorkom en die munisipaliteit kan ongelukkig nie ten alle tye oral wees om onwettige storting te polisieer nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOns skoonmaakspanne gaan uit na gebiede om onwettige storting op te ruim sodra die munisipaliteit in kennis gestel word van \u2019n voorval,\u201d s\u00ea die munisipale woordvoerder Stuart Grobbelaar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volgens Tyrie Langeveldt, \u2019n inwoner, het hy al talle kere die munisipaliteit geraadpleeg om die vullis in die gebied te verwyder, maar hy s\u00ea dit val op dowe ore. \u201cEk het al baie kere uitgereik en aangebied om hande te vat met die munisipaliteit om hierdie probleem op te los, maar hulle wil nie saamwerk nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOns woon in \u2019n baie mooi gebied, wat ook baie toeriste lok, maar as ons na ons omgewing kyk, lyk dit baie morsig. Die munisipale werkers kom nie gereeld nie. Hier kom die groot dae ook weer aan, maar ons plek lyk soos \u2019n varkhok. Die naam-monument by die ingang van Lindida het onlangs gebrand, maar niemand van die munisipaliteit het nog gekom om dit te herstel nie. Het ons dan nie trots in ons gemeenskappe nie?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Langeveldt s\u00ea die strate is vuil en vullis hoop vir weke op. \u201cDit is asof hulle nie in ons gebied wil kom skoonmaak nie. Hulle sien ook hoe die mense onwettig vullis stort, maar hulle doen niks daaraan nie. Die gebied is omring met kameras, hulle kan mos daarop sien wie die vullis stort en hulle beboet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hy is bereid om hande te vat met die munisipaliteit om \u2019n veiliger en skoner omgewing te skep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOns moedig mnr. Langeveldt aan om die verwysingsnommers van sy vorige versoeke aan ons te stuur sodat ons terugvoer op elke individuele versoek kan verskaf,\u201d s\u00ea Grobbelaar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Volgens Grobbelaar neem die munisipaliteit graag met die gemeenskap hande om di\u00e9 probleem op te los en inwoners se samewerking om die wetstoepassers dadelik in kennis te stel, is van uiterse belang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
