S\u00f3 s\u00ea die nuwe skoolhoof, Anton Gordon, van Idasvallei Prim\u00ear (IVP) trots terwyl hy \u2019n gedeelte van die skoollied aanhaal van die skool waar hy die afgelope 29 jaar skoolhou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gordon is in Idasvallei gebore en geto\u00eb en het by Bruckner de Villiers Prim\u00ear en Ho\u00ebrskool L\u00fcckhoff skoolgegaan voordat hy sy onderwysdiploma in 1988 aan die Onderwyskollege Athlone in Paarl voltooi het. Hy het sy ho\u00ebronderwysdiploma in 1995 en sy onderwysgraad in 2004 voltooi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sedertdien het hy De Tuine Sekond\u00ear in Walvisbaai, Namibi\u00eb en Ocean View Sekond\u00ear in Kaapstad skoolgehou voordat hy in 1994 by Idasvallei Prim\u00ear aangesluit het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEk beskou my aanstelling as hoof van IVP as \u2019n Goddelike voorreg. Dis \u2019n eer om die kinders en die gemeenskap van IVP te dien,\u201d s\u00ea Gordon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDit is \u2019n uitdaging wat ek wil aanpak en waarvan ek \u2019n sukses wil maak. Ek wil graag die skool met die hulp van God, die skoolbeheerliggaam, leerders en ouers tot die volgende vlak van uitnemendheid neem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hy is dankbaar vir die skoolbeheerliggaam se vertroue in hom en wil graag voortbou op die sukses van vorige skoolhoofde. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buiten sy lewe by die skool s\u00ea Gordon hy is \u2019n gesinsman en bestee sy vrye tyd saam met sy vrou en seuns, Cantona en Azariah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEk is lief vir my familie en vir God. Ek is betrokke by die kerk en doen gereeld aktiwiteite saam met my gesin. Hulle is my steunpilare en beteken alles vir my.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gordon s\u00ea nog \u2019n mylpaal word vanjaar behaal deurdat sy oudste seun, Cantona, sy eerste jaar as onderwyser begin. \u201cEk is bevoorreg om saam met my seun by dieselfde skool waar hy ook skoolgegaan het, skool te hou. Dit is toevallig dat ek nou die hoof is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
