Die boek, Here ek het Seergekry<\/span>, vertel die verhaal van pastoor Ashley Cupido se grootwordjare en sy worsteling met mishandeling as kind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201c \u2019n Mens kan s\u00ea die boek is \u2019n kombinasie van geestelike outobiografie en selfhelp, want ek vertel my storie en gee raad aan die leser oor hoe om trauma te hanteer,\u201d vertel Cupido. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hy het in Cloetesville grootgeword en s\u00ea hulle was die derde huisgesin wat destyds ingevolge die Groepsgebiedewet na Cloetesville verskuif is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Die boek skets Cupido se lewe oor die jare heen en begin van die ouderdom van vier af. Dit vertel van die hartseer wat hy as kind ervaar het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEk vertel van die mishandeling wat ek en my ma en susters oor die jare moes verduur en hoe dit my jare geneem het om dit te verwerk en diegene wat leed aan my gedoen het te kon vryspreek.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cupido het in 1990 voltyds in die bediening by die Verenigde Sendingkerk gegaan en s\u00ea hy het toe al die boek begin skryf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEk het die boek in die middel 1990\u2019s begin skryf maar kon dit nooit regtig voltooi nie, want as ek by \u2019n sekere gedeelte van die boek gekom het, was dit moeilik en ek het agtergekom die seer was nog te erg en dat ek dit nie verwerk het nie,\u201d vertel hy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEk het toe in 2021 na \u2019n afsonderingskursus in die Welkom-omgewing, genaamd Reis en Menswees, gegaan en daar tyd alleen deurgebring met God. Daar het ek heling gekry en kon ek di\u00e9 wat my seergemaak het, vergewe en vryspreek.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cupido s\u00ea hy het die boek juis geskryf as \u2019n kompas vir di\u00e9 wat nog sukkel met hartseer en pyn van die verlede. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEk noem hierdie dinge, want ek glo lesers sal hulself hiermee kan vereenselwig en moed en heling vind.
