The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is calling on matriculants across the country, who display academic excellence and entrepreneurial potential to apply for its University Fellowship Programme ahead of the 28 April closing date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The University Fellowship Programme equips candidates with more than just a degree; it provides them with the right tools to flourish in whatever industry they join, becoming business leaders who make a big impact. Not only will it transform them on a personal level, but also fuel their desire to redesign their world and contribute to the advancement of their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Successful candidates will have access to entrepreneurial mindset development, funding for university studies as well as academic and personal mentorship. All of which will nurture and develop their skills enabling them to develop into high impact responsible entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n Application requirements: <\/b>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022South African citizenship<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u202221 years of age or younger in 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Minimum of 60% in Pure Mathematics or a minimum of 80% in Mathematical Literacy for final Grade 11 results<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Minimum average of 70% for final Grade 11 results (excluding Life Orientation)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Intention to study towards a Commerce, Science, Engineering, Law, Humanities, Arts or Health Sciences (excluding Medicine, Veterinary Science and Dentistry) degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, University of Johannesburg, University of Cape Town, Nelson Mandela University, Rhodes University, University of the Western Cape, Stellenbosch University, University of Pretoria, University of the Free State or University of KwaZulu-Natal<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Indications of an entrepreneurial mindset<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022Belief in the future of South Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applicants with a combined annual household income of R1 million and below will receive full funding, whereas applicants with a combined household income above R1 million will receive needs-based funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
