Die uitvoerende burgemeester van die Kaapse Wynland-distriksmunisipaliteit, dr. Elna von Schlicht, het die Graad 7-klasse van Vlottenburg Laerskool in Stellenbosch en Wes-Eind Laerskool in Franschhoek saam met die raadslid Deon Carinus (portefeuljehouer van tegniese dienste) en verteenwoordigers van die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit verras met stelle skryfbehoeftes voordat hulle volgende jaar ho\u00ebrskool toe gaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die burgemeester het die geleentheid gebruik om die drie sfere van regering aan die leerders te verduidelik en toe \u2019n vinnige vasvra gehou en \u2019n paar bykomende pryse aan die leerders gegee. Die hande is met elke vraag gretig opgesteek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Von Schlicht het ook \u2019n paar bemoedigende woorde aan die leerders oorgedra. \u201cJulle is ons toekomstige nasie. Julle moet fokus op jul opvoeding, en mik na graad 12 en daarna, want julle kan word net wie en wat julle wil en \u2019n lig in die toekoms van ons land wees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die skryfbehoeftes het penne, potlode, notaboeke, \u2018flip files\u2019, \u2019n sakrekenaar, glimpenne, liniale, \u2019n potloodsakkie en \u2019n wiskundestel ingesluit \u2013 alles verpak in \u2019n sak met \u2019n trekkoord vir die leerders se gebruik. Die skole sal hierdie stelle tot die einde van die jaar vir die leerders b\u00eare. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Verskeie ge\u00efdentifiseerde skole reg oor die distrik sal soortgelyke stelle skryfbehoeftes ontvang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
