Die Universiteit Stellenbosch het Woensdagmiddag (21 Junie) aangekondig die uitvoerende hoof van die Clicks-groep, Bertina Engelbrecht, is as lid van die US-raad benoem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Engelbrecht sal van 1 September 2023 tot Augustus 2027 in die raad dien. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Nicky Newton-King, voorsitter van die US-raad, s\u00ea dit \u201cis \u2019n voorreg dat iemand van Bertina se kaliber by die Raad van die Universiteit Stellenbosch aansluit. Ons sien uit na haar kundige bydraes oor kwessies wat onder meer wissel van menslike kapitaalontwikkeling tot bestuur, volhoubaarheid en belanghebberdeelname\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Engelbrecht s\u00ea sy is opgewonde oor die vooruitsig om haar by die US-raad aan te sluit en saam met mederaadslede te werk om \u2019n betekenisvolle bydrae tot die volgehoue sukses van die universiteit te lewer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Engelbrecht het aan die Universiteite van Wes-Kaapland en Kaapstad in die regte gestudeer en \u2019n bestuursontwikkelingsprogram aan die Stellenbosch Bestuurskool voltooi. Sy is in 1989 as \u2019n prokureur van die Hooggeregshof van Suid-Afrika toegelaat en het al verskeie senior bestuurs- en leiersposte in \u2019n verskeidenheid maatskappye beklee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sy het eers as groepdirekteur van onderskeidelik korporatiewe sake en menslike hulpbronne van die Clicks-groep gedien voordat sy in Januarie 2022 as uitvoerende hoof van die groep aangestel is. Sodoende het sy die eerste swart vrou in Suid-Afrika geword om \u2019n genoteerde kleinhandelgroep te lei..<\/span> Twee raadslede word deur die US-raad self aangewys, terwyl die res verteenwoordigers van verskeie belanghebbergroepe van die universiteit is waaronder die Konvokasie, Senaat, donateurs, aanstellings deur die minister van ho\u00ebr onderwys en die
