Stellenbosch Football Club has reached the final of the 2023 Carling Knockout competition after recording a resounding 3-0 semi-final win over Richards Bay in Umlazi on Saturday (2 December). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goals from Devin Titus, Oura Anicet and Antonio van Wyk fired the team from the Cape Winelands in a first-ever cup final, where they will meet TS Galaxy at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday 16 December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe players showed great commitment and deserved to win and reach the final,\u201d Steve Barker, Stellenbosch head coach, said after his team recorded the win. \u201cThey work hard every day; they are a young and energetic squad of players with good qualities, so I\u2019m really proud of their efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Carling Knockout final will be the second of two high-profile fixtures for the local lads in the next two weeks. The Maroons will also play host to Cape Town City in an upcoming DStv Premier Soccer League encounter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
