Young Stars moes byna 30 minute wag om sy eerste punte danksy \u2019n verdoelde drie aan te teken (0-7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit blyk rotsvaste verdediging is vanjaar Excelsior se wagwoord, maar verkeerde besluite het verhoed dat die Stellenbossers voor rustyd punte aangeteken het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gedurende lemoentyd het die Excelsior-hoofafrigter, Sedick Cornelson, soos in die span se stryd teen Strand United die vorige week, kwaai woorde vir sy spelers gehad. Dit het byna dieselfde uitwerking op die manne gehad, want van die afskop van die tweede helfte het die tuisspan beheer van die wedstryd geneem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Young Stars het met \u2019n knaende aanval fouteer en die belowende Excelsior-senter, Morgan Wentzel, het met \u2019n 40-m-strafskop teen die wind geslaag (3-7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Stellenbossers het daarna aanval n\u00e1 aanval afgestuur met die bal wat blitsig deur die hande van die voor- en agterspelers beweeg het. Die Young Stars is onkant betrap en nog \u2019n strafdoel is aan Excelsior toegeken. Wentzel het weer geen fout gemaak nie en sy suksesvolle skop het die telling 6-7 \u2013 die eindtelling \u2013 gemaak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die afrigterskorps van Excelsior en die klubbestuur het hul dank aan Young Stars vir \u2019n wedstryd wat in goeie gees en sportmanskap gespeel is, uitgespreek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excelsior speel hierdie naweek (Saterdag 17 Februarie) teen die Silvertree-rugbyklub in Athlone.
