Business-leadership skills were recently imparted to Stellenbosch principals in the hopes of bolstering their skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rodger Cupido, principal of Cloetesville Primary, along with colleagues, Carol Abrahams (Stellenzicht Senior Secondary), Gail Kortje (Bruckner de Villiers Primary), Burton Williams (St Idas RC Primary), and Aydin Arendse, principal of Devon Valley Primary, were the group from Stellenbosch who completed the Partners for Possibility Leadership Development Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leadership programme is done in conjunction with the Citizen Leader Lab, which connects principals with successful business people to share experiences and skills to better empower principals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The five local school leaders, together with four other principals and their respective business leaders, were rewarded at a prestigious event held at Val de Vine Restaurant in Stellenbosch last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jessica Batts, learning process facilitator for the Cape Winelands Education District, said this is an initiative that supports principals in developing their confidence, skills and competence in leading change in a complex organisation in a time of turbulence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The principals and business leaders proudly shared with the audience extraordinary leadership stories and are ready to step into their schools and continue creating a conducive ecosystem for teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
