Die Dink of Sink-span van AfriForum het Saterdag 11 Mei die Dink of Sink-onvoorbereide debatkompetisie vir universiteitstudente by die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) aangebied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die doel van die kompetisie as geheel is om debat in Afrikaans op laerskool-, ho\u00ebrskool- en universiteitsvak te bevorder. Terselfdertyd leer die debatteerders \u2019n belangrike vaardigheid wat hulle in die toekoms sal baat wanneer hulle die werksplek betree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die burgerregteorganisasie het verlede jaar besluit om die kompetisie na elke universiteit in Suid-Afrika uit te brei. Die wenspan van die universiteit dring dan deur na die nasionale eindstryd, wat Saterdag 6 Julie plaasvind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Altesaam 12 universiteitstudente van die US het aan die interne kompetisie deelgeneem. StudentePlein 1 se Naud\u00e9 Lourens, Neelsie van Dyk, Ignus Ferreira en Righardt Pretorius is as die \u201cgrootste grootpraters\u201d aangewys, terwyl StudentePlein 2 se Megan Jones, Megan Kruger, Isabella Burgers en Simon\u00e9 Shirley as die naaswenners aangewys is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDie studente het waarlik hul staal gewys en vir \u2019n goeie kompetisie gesorg. Hulle het met goed geformuleerde argumente en selfvertroue die kompetisie aangepak.
