Behuising, infrastruktuur- ontwikkeling en planne vir vervoer is alles deel van die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit se vyfdegeslag- ge\u00efntegreerde ontwikkelingsplan (GOP) 2022-2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die munisipale raad het Vrydag (31 Mei) die jongste weergawe van die GOP goedgekeur. Die munisipaliteit sit sy planne vir die volgende paar jaar in die dokument uiteen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Behuising <\/strong>is \u2019n belangrike kwessie vir die groter Stellenbosch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In die GOP sit die munisipaliteit die huidige en beplande behuisingsprojekte uiteen. In Vlottenburg is 144 gedienste erwe ingerig. In Khayamandi se Zone O het werk begin, maar 22 gesinne sal hervestig word voordat fase \u2013 178 gedienste erwe \u2013 voltooi kan word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beplanning word gedoen vir die ontwikkeling van erf 2183, La Rochelle, in Klapmuts vir gedienste erwe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Cloetesville mag 360 gesubsidieerde wonings kry aangesien \u2019n ontwikkeling in die beplanningsfase is. Planne is ook gereed vir sowat 2 000 behuisingsgeleenthede in Jamestown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2019n Deel van die munisipaliteit se katalisatorprojekte is die ontwikkeling van die Adam Tas<\/strong>-korridor<\/strong>. Di\u00e9 gebied, wat voorheen Cape Sawmills en Distell se fasiliteit gehuisves het, sal onder meer \u2019n nuwe baadjie kry indien die munisipaliteit se planne ingestel word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Hier sal die dorp kan uitbrei. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Waar daar voorheen grootliks nywerhede in die gebied was, is die plan vir meer behuising in die gebied. \u2019n Fokus op openbare vervoer en staproetes is deel van die ontwikkeling van die gebied. Die uitbreiding van die Universiteit Stellenbosch (US) is ook in ag geneem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Die munisipaliteit het reeds riglyne vir die ontwikkeling in Oktober 2022 goedgekeur en ontwikkelaars sal moet toesien dat die geskiedkundige waarde van geboue behou word en, waar moontlik, sal bestaande geboue omgeskep word eerder as om splinternuwe geboue op te rig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Die ekonomiese ontwikkeling van Klapmuts<\/strong> is ook op die boeke met die GOP wat uitlig dat infrastruktuur as dryfvere vir ekonomiese ontwikkeling en werkskepping ingespan moet word. Die gebied se toegang tot die N1 sal \u2019n groot rol in die ontwikkeling speel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Distell Limited se besluit om sy bedrywighede na die noordelike deel van Klapmuts te verskuif, word as \u2019n katalisator vir die plaaslike ekonomie beskou. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Di\u00e9 onderneming beoog om onder meer bottelering, stoorplek en verspreiding van hier te bestuur. Aangesien die gebied nie munisipale dienste het nie, sal die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit water-, afval- en stormwaterdienste moet inrig. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In die weste is planne reeds gemaak vir die \u201cSmart City\u201d oftewel \u201cInnovation Precinct\u201d wat hier gevestig sal word. Die moontlikheid vir US-verwante aktiwiteite bestaan ook aangesien die universiteit \u2019n grondooreenkoms het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Die planne is egter nie sonder struikelblokke nie. Deel hiervan is die bestuur van die dorp aangesien sekere gebiede onder die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit en ander die Drakenstein-munisipaliteit val.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Metrorail het dalk binnekort mededinging met die munisipaliteit se planne vir alternatiewe spoordienste <\/strong>langs die Baden Powell-weg-Adam Tas-korridor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ondersoek na spoordienste, moontlik in die vorm van trems, kan ook gedoen word.
