Idas Valley Football Club took a stand against gender-based violence (GBV) this past Women\u2019s Day (Friday 9 August). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday (8 August) Idas Valley\u2019s u-17 team embarked on a hike to preserve mother nature and attended a discussion on GBV as part of Women\u2019s Month. \u201cAs a club we pride ourselves on being more than just a football club,\u201d coach JP Adams explains, \u201cwe teach all our players values that will make them better people in society.\u201d The club thanks Jacobus Hugo of MSCI (Stellenbosch Office) for sponsoring players with goodie bags and Luvuyo Nyamanda of Training4Changes for leading discussions on GBV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
