On Saturday 2 November running and walking enthusiasts are invited to join Distance For Difference (D4D) at the picturesque Dornier Wines for The Gratitude Run 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come and show your gratitude for your health and your ability to run or walk. All proceeds, after direct expenses, will go towards D4D, a registered Section 21 Company and NPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

D4D is raising funds for various children\u2019s charities, including Tzadokah Foster Home, Sylvia\u2019s House, Kingdom Kids, Esther van Zyl Foster Care, just to name a few. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants can choose from three distances. First is the 5 km fun run\/walk, where young and old are invited to join in the fun and set their own pace. The race starts at 08:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online entries cost R120 for those 12 years and old, R60 for children under 12, while the late entry fee is R140 and R80 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the trail runners there is the 10 km race, perfect for all trail running enthusiasts. Come and experience the beautiful route and trails on Dornier Wines. It promises to be an interesting mix. No children under the age of 14 will be allowed to participate in the trail run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online entry fee is R195, and R220 for the late entry fee. The race starts at 07:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For runners looking to enter with friends or family there is the team relay run. Runners enter as a team \u2013 three, four or preferably five members per team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team members will run laps of 3 km each. The challenge for teams will be to complete as many 3 km laps as possible in the allotted time period \u2013 four hours from 07:30 to 11:30. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nominate a team captain, decide on a cool name and theme for your team and bring along heaps of team spirit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teams can be men only, women only or mixed, with at least one woman in a three-member team and two women in a four- or five-member team. Online entries are R700 and the race starts at 07:30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Involve non-runners, family, friends and companies, by encouraging them to sponsor your team. It is all about team work and supporting your teammates, while soaking in the exquisite surrounds of the beautiful estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be live music, prizes, lucky draws, enthusiastic athletes and sponsors supporting a worthy cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
