When donating, donors start with a confidential questionnaire to verify their details. A fingerpick test checks their haemoglobin levels, ensuring they meets the required 12,5 g\/dl for women and 13,5 g\/dl for men. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A professional nurse then conducts a medical screening, checking donors\u2019 blood pressure and pulse. Donors then proceed to donate a unit of life-saving blood, followed by delicious juice and biscuits to refuel lost fluids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donors need to be aged 16 to 75 years, weigh at least 50 kg or more, be in good general health, and lead a safe sexual lifestyle. Donors are also advised to eat a meal three to four hours before donating, and to stay well-hydrated before, during, and after donation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Go to
