N\u00e1 ses wedstryde en ses seges is die vrouespan van die Coronations-krieketklub die afgelope Sondag (9 Februarie) as die wenner van die 50-boulbeurtliga van Krieket Boland vir 2024-\u201925 gekroon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die span van die Dwarsriviervallei het met die kolf, in die veld en met die bal in die hand in hul wedstryd teen die Maties-vrouespan op die Coetzenberg-ovaal oorheers en met 167 lopies gese\u00ebvier. Die span pronk di\u00e9 seisoen met \u2019n onoorwonne status en sal hoop om hul lopie in die T20-liga die komende naweek voort te sit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coronations het die loot Sondag gewen en besluit om eerste te kolf. Die kolwers het van die begin van die kolfbeurt hul stempel op die wedstryd afgedwing en die Maties-boulers het gesukkel om hul ritme te vind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die Pni\u00ebllers het hul volle 50 boulbeurte gekolf en die telbord tot by 249\/7 geneem. Dit was veral die kolfvernuf van Moesie Daniels wat be\u00efndruk het. Sy het die meeste van haar beurt gemaak en korte mette met die Maties-boulwerk gemaak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Daniels was Coronations se hoogste lopiemaker met 86 lopies, gevolg deur Chantelle van Schoor (36*) en Mialize van der Vyver (31).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vir Maties was dit \u2019n moeilike dag in die veld, maar die boulwerk van hul kaptein Melissa van der Merwe (3\/25, en die speler\/afrigter Ilse van die Westhuizen (2\/40) was indrukwekkend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Op hul beurt het die Maties met die kolf gesukkel en gereeld paaltjies verloor. Hulle is uiteindelik in die 32ste boulbeurt vir slegs 83 lopies uitgeboender, met slegs Megan Emslie (25) wat \u2019n noemenswaardige kolfbeurt gelewer het. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Op pad na \u2019n oorheersende oorwinning was die akkuraatheid, lyn en lengte van Doni Lin (6\/17) vir Coronations in die kol, asook die uitstekende veldwerk deur die paaltjiewagter Stacey Lackay, wat twee kolwers gestonk en een uitgehardloop het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al die klubs se vrouespanne in die Boland verskuif nou hul aandag na die T20-kompetisie, wat Sondag (16 Februarie) begin. In di\u00e9 kompetisie is Coronations in Groep A met Caledon- en Grabouw-krieketklub gegroepeer, met die vrouespanne van Maties, Worcester United, Stellenbosch en Brandvlei wat Groep B opmaak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coronations reis Sondag na Caledon om kragte met die gasheer te meet (09:00) voordat hulle om 12:45 teen Grabouw te staan kom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Groep B moet Maties en Stellenbosch na Worcester reis om daar in twee wedstryde te speel \u2013 om 10:00 speel Maties teen Brandvlei en Stellenbosch teen Worcester United voordat die twee Eikestad-spanne mekaar om 14:00 die stryd aans\u00ea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
