Dit was die pensioentrekker Elizabeth Bosch se kommentaar nadat sy en talle pensioentrekkers die Suid-Afrikaanse Agentskap vir Maatskaplike Sekerheid (Sassa) se kantoor in Klapmuts Maandag (17 Februarie) besoek het. Di\u00e9 74-jarige is een van die miljoene Suid-Afrikaners wat nuwe kaarte van Postbank moet kry nadat Sassa aangekondig het die goue kaarte sal uitgefaseer word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sonder die nuwe kaarte sal begunstigdes van staatstoelaes nie hul geld ontvang nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aanvanklik sou die goue kaarte op 28 Februarie ophou werk het, maar n\u00e1 pleidooie van die provinsiale regering, begunstigdes en welsynsorganisasies is die afsnydatum tot Donderdag 20 Maart verleng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDie mense het nie \u2019n probleem om die kaarte te vervang nie. Ons moes dit voorheen ook doen, maar die manier hoe mense behandel word . . . ek sit hier met trane in my o\u00eb,\u201d het Bosch aan Eikestadnuus<\/i> vertel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stellenbossers wend hulle nou na organisasies soos StellCare vir advies met die uitdagende proses. \u2019n Groot deel van hul \u201cvreeslike gesukkel\u201d is omdat hier nie \u2019n plaaslike Sassa-kantoor is nie. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHelp asseblief. Ek is besig om paniekerig te raak,\u201d het een Stellenbosser op sosiale media geskryf. Di\u00e9 persoon moes, soos Bosch, van Cloetesville af na Klapmuts reis. Bosch verduidelik slegs \u2019n handjievol begunstigdes word op \u2019n keer gehelp, wat beteken dit is \u2019n lang wag vir die bejaardes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSommige van daardie grootmense het 03:00 opgestaan om betyds in die ry te wees. Die mense moet heeldag in die son staan en wanneer dit 16:00 is, s\u00ea hulle dat hulle klaar is vir die dag \u2013 \u2018kom maar m\u00f4re weer\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaco Londt, die Wes-Kaapse minister van maatskaplike ontwikkeling, het die uitsteldatum in \u2019n persverklaring verwelkom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Die departement is oorval met navrae en klagtes van begunstigdes van oor die provinsie heen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBaie van die klagtes [gaan oor] die gebrek aan Postbank-terreine in landelike gebiede. Dit is onaanvaarbaar dat die meeste dienspunte in die provinsie in die Kaapse Metro is, met slegs \u2019n paar in George, Vredenburg en Caledon \u2013 hoewel ons inligting ontvang het dat di\u00e9 in Vredenburg en Caledon blykbaar nie in werking is nie. Die kantore moet ook voldoende beman word om die toestroming van begunstigdes te hanteer,\u201d lui die verklaring. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Londt meen Postbank moet die aantal dienspunte in landelike gebiede vermeerder. Begunstigdes het egter die opsie om hul toelaes in \u2019n bankrekening te laat betaal. Londt s\u00ea die departement sal voortgaan om die kaartmigrasieproses te monitor om te verseker dat kwesbare inwoners \u2013 vir wie toelaes noodsaaklik is \u2013 die beste diens moontlik ontvang.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
