\u2022 Elizabeth Japie, wat teregstaan op die dood van haar susterkind, Zandre Japie, sal weer Woensdag 25 Maart in die Stellenbosch-streekshof voorkom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Di\u00e9 Jamestown-inwoner is Woensdag 22 Mei 2024 aangekla vir die dood van die sesjarige Zandre. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japie word verdink van die moord nadat haar suster vroeg in 2024 haar seun na Stellenbosch gestuur het, in die hoop om vir hom plek hier in ‘n skool te kry. Die vermoede is egter dat Japie die seun bedags in die huis toegesluit het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zandre se liggaam is op Vrydag 3 Mei 2024 in Japie se woning aangetref.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Onder die 14 klagtes wat Japie in die gesig staar is moord, dwarsboming van die gereg en kindermishandeling.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japie bly in aanhouding tot haar volgende verskyning.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Die twee verdagtes wat van die moord van Pieter de Koker (77) aangekla word, sal Maandag 16 Maart weer in die Stellenbosch-hof verskyn vir hul amptelike borgaansoek. Darren Stephanus (38) en Ryan Munnik (20) word verdink van die moord op De Koker wat Saterdag 17 Januarie dood in die Onder-Papegaaiberg-begraafplaas gevind is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Strand-inwoner het gereeld sy seun se graf in die plaaslike begraafplaas besoek wanneer hy in die dorp was. Di\u00e9 betrokke Saterdag het hy nie vir ‘n braai by sy dogter, Liezel Vermeulen, wat steeds in die plaaslike woonbuurt woon, opgedaag nie.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vermeulen en haar man het na haar bejaarde pa gesoek weens die vermoede dat hy ‘n ongeluk met sy motorfiets gehad het. Die paar het egter by die begraafplaas op haar pa afgekom nadat hulle polisiebeamptes daar gevind het.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munnik sal dieselfde dag, in dieselfde hof, ook voorkom vir ‘n klagte van diefstal. Albei beskuldigdes bly in aanhouding tot hul verskyning later hierdie maand.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 ‘n Plaaslike skoolhoof wat deur ‘n voormalige kollega van seksuele aanranding aangekla word, was Donderdag 26 Februarie nie in die Stellenbosch-hof nie, weens sy gesondheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die hoof se regsverteenwoordiger het Donderdag aan die hof ‘n mediese ser-\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

tifikaat ingedien en verduidelik haar kli\u00ebnt kon nie verrigtinge bywoon nie weens sy gesondheid. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intussen het die staat aangedui die saak word steeds ondersoek.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die gesoute onderwyser het volgens die klaagster tydens die skool se jaareindfunksie in Desember 2024 haar by die skool seksueel aangerand. Die Wes-Kaapse Onderwysdepartement (WKOD) het bevestig die skoolhoof is tans nie by die skool nie en het ges\u00ea ‘n interne ondersoek deur die departement is ook van stapel gestuur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die hofsaak is tot Woensdag 13 Mei uitgestel. Die skoolhoof is tans uit op borgtog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
