Die hofverskyning van twee verdagtes wat in hegtenis geneem is n\u00e1 ‘n Strand-bejaarde se dood is tot Donderdag 19 Februarie uitgestel.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Munnik (20) en Darren Stephanus (38) is Woensdag 21 Januarie deur Stellenbosch-polisie in hegtenis geneem nadat Pieter de Koker (77) op Saterdag 17 Januarie dood in die OnderPapegaaiberg-begraafplaas gevind is. De Koker, wat voorheen in Stellenbosch gewoon het, is naby sy seun se graf gevind.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Koker het gereeld die graf besoek wanneer hy in die Eikestad was.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sy dogter en haar man het di\u00e9 Saterdag na haar pa gaan soek nadat hy nie vir ‘n familiebraai opgedaag het nie. In hul soektog het hulle polisiebeamptes by die begraafplaas gesien. Toe hulle ondersoek ingestel het, is bevestig dat De Koker daar vermoor is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inwoners het in 2023 ‘n versoekskrif<\/a> aan die Stellenbosch-munisipaliteit gerig oor die stukkende heining van die Papegaaiberg-natuurreservaat, die varkplaas in die reservaat, asook dat mense met honde in die reservaat jag. Die reservaat word ook deur voetgangers as ‘n deurweg tussen Khayamandi, die dorp en Onder-Papegaaiberg gebruik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By navraag het die munisipaliteit toe ges\u00ea daar is samewerking met CapeNature, inwoners en rolspelers om veilig- heid by die reservaat te verseker.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
