‘n Bykomende spesiale belastingsgebied is in Julie in die lewe geroep, met die Siti wat die Stellenbosch-middedorp dek. Veiligheidsbeamptes in vier veiligheidsmotors is tans 24 uur per dag in Jonkershoek en die middedorp bedrywig. Volgens Jacques van Aswegen, die JSRA-voorsitter, is dit slegs danksy die bloed en sweet van ‘n handjie vol inwoners 15 jaar gelede dat die JSRA uitgebrei het tot wat dit vandag is. Planne is reeds deur die Siti-span gemaak om hul eie uitgebreide kameranetwerk te ontwerp om saam met die gevestigde JSRA-netwerk in die beheerkamer te integreer.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In die middedorp het ons ‘n unieke situasie, omdat ons nie slegs inwoners het nie. Dit is waar almal hul inkopies doen, kom om te eet ensovoorts, wat beteken ons strukture moet van so ‘n aard wees om almal in ag te neem \u2013 dit is almal se plek,” verduidelik Daniel Lutz van Siti.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Die twee organisasies het reeds planne om hul netwerk uit te brei. Meer kameras, opgraderings aan die stelsels en ‘n gevorde videobestuurstelsel is in die vooruitsig.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Inwoners kan die beheerkamer deur WhatsApp en Telegram kontak en die publiek word gevra om enige verdagte of misdadige aktiwiteite regstreeks by die JSRA- en SITI-beheerkamernommers aan te meld.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hattingh bedank al die rolspelers, insluitend die
