The spirit of music and community will fill the Stellenbosch air tonight (Thursday 21 August) as the e’Bosch High School Choir Festival takes centre stage in the hall of Idas Valley Primary School. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The much-anticipated event, which starts at 19:00, will showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of young singers from five local high schools: Cloetesville High, Klapmuts Secondary, L\u00fcckhoff High, Stellenzicht Secondary and Paul Roos Gymnasium.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The e’Bosch Heritage Project, founded in 2011, is a response to decades of social exclusion. It stands for respecting human dignity, eliminating social injustices and forging social inclusion for all. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organisation also encourages everyone to celebrate their own heritage and build bridges among different social and cultural groups.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This festival is about more than just music; it’s about building bridges between schools, celebrating our heritage and giving our youth a platform to shine,” says John Frans, e’Bosch project manager for the festival.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Part of the e’Bosch Heritage Project’s annual programme, the festival celebrates unity through music, bringing learners from diverse backgrounds together to perform in harmony. Each choir will present unique songs, from soulful harmonies to energetic, uplifting arrangements. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Frans adds that the evening’s choral programme will end with the singing of “United Light”, a song composed by Xander Kritzinger, a conductor, tenor, vocal pedagogue, composer and pianist from Stellenbosch. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The e’Bosch High School Choir Festival is an inspiring example of how music can unite communities and nurture young talent. All music lovers, parents, and community members are warmly invited to attend and experience the joy of choral harmony.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
