Stellenbosch police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a woman died and a man was injured in an accident on Blaauwklippen Road last Thursday (8 August). According to police they attended the scene around 04:00, when paramedics were already on the scene where a white BMW had crashed. An unknown woman was declared dead on the scene by ER24 personnel. The male driver was taken to Mediclinic Stellenbosch for medical treatment.
