Thirteen people were treated for minor to serious injuries when two vehicles collided on the R45 close to Robertsvlei Road in Franschhoek this morning (Tuesday, 3 June).
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to ER24 paramedic Kurt Maske, the accident occurred around 07:00.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The injured patients were transported by ER24 and Metro Ambulance Services to various hospitals in the area.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Franschhoek police, Franschhoek First Responders and all other services were on scene,” Maske said.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that as he arrived, two other vehicles were also involved in a minor collison.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No injuries were reported in the second accident.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scene on the R45 was cleared and re-opened for traffic shortly before 09:00.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emergency services also responded to a motor vehicle accident on the R301 between Paarl and Wemmershoek shortly after 08:00 on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
