Police are clamping down on drug dealing, and a recent arrest shows they are focused on eradicating such crimes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday (30 March) around 20:10 two suspects were arrested for possession of drugs in Somerset West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Sergeant Suzan Jantjies, spokesperson for the Somerset West police, a search warrant was issued and executed by members of the Khayelitsha Tactical Team who swooped on a residence in Heritage Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said: \u201cDrugs with an estimated street value of R100 000 were confiscated, and a 30-year-old man and 31-year-old woman arrested for possession of drugs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Somerset West Police Station commander Colonel Jacolize Fleischmann commended the officers for the outstanding arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both suspects were expected to be charged and appear in the Somerset West Magistrates\u2019 Court on Monday (3 April).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
