Pure Mustard Seed NPO, a local non-profit organisation based in Zola, Asanda Village, Strand, has made a significant impact since 2020 and has recently celebrated yet another batch of graduates from their programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the organisation wants to grow and benefit more people, and the only way to do so is to secure funders and donors for its programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It trains and upskills people in hospitality and other fields, guiding them towards qualifications and employment, completely free of charge, with the organisation funding the programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Founded by Vincent Ngwenya and co-founders, Pure Mustard Seed NPO is driven by a passion for developing job seekers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their dedication extends to funding professional courses that combine theory and practical training, each lasting six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe positive impact on our graduates and their communities motivates us to keep expanding our course offerings,\u201d said facilitator Jerry Molise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recognising the challenges faced by many students, the programme has incorporated \u201cSoul Healing\u201d sessions to provide counselling and support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme welcomes anyone over age 16 with a valid identity document, and there are no fees associated with the courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The most recent graduation took place in May, involving 95 students, and the next one is scheduled for 10 August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pure Mustard Seed NPO is also open to sponsorships, donations and collaborations from those who share their vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ngwenya said the founders had been pumping money into the programmes themselves, but this was proving unsustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe success of the programme makes it imperative that we continue this work and assist the unemployed. We therefore appeal to private individuals, corporates and business to assist us in securing a future for our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
