Somerset West police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after two young pedestrians were struck down on the N2 highway on Monday 29 July. According to police spokesperson Sergeant Suzan Jantjies the accident was reported at 16:33. It is alleged two children were struck by a police vehicle on the highway opposite the Garden Village residential In swerving towards the yellow line, two schoolchildren were struck. \u201cThe accident victims were transported to hospital.\u201d The police vehicle is attached to Claremont Police Station. In swerving towards the yellow line, two schoolchildren were struck. \u201cThe accident victims were transported to hospital.\u201d The police vehicle is attached to Claremont Police Station.
