According to a report, police responded to the head-on collision involving two vehicles, a white Chevrolet Optra and white Volkswagen Polo, around 08:47. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) used the mechanical jaws of life to rescue both drivers, who were trapped in the vehicles following impact. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 50-year-old woman succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the crash. The other driver, a 45-year-old woman, was transported to the Grabouw Community Health Centre for medical treatment. \u201cThe circumstances surrounding this fatal crash forms part of the police investigation,\u201d said provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg. According to a report, police responded to the head-on collision involving two vehicles, a white Chevrolet Optra and white Volkswagen Polo, around 08:47. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) used the mechanical jaws of life to rescue both drivers, who were trapped in the vehicles following impact. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 50-year-old woman succumbed to severe injuries sustained in the crash. The other driver, a 45-year-old woman, was transported to the Grabouw Community Health Centre for medical treatment. \u201cThe circumstances surrounding this fatal crash forms part of the police investigation,\u201d said provincial police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
