The fourth and fifth round of the 2022 All Comers Series was held at Gordon\u2019s Bay Yacht Club (GBYC) on Saturday (25 June). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With light south-westerly winds, it saw Nico van Wieringen on his L26 Go Dutch<\/span> take the lead in the series with just four rounds remaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n Go Dutch<\/span> took line honours in both races, with a first and second on handicap. The strong result was at the expense of previous series leader Seaboard,<\/i> which didn\u2019t run the weekend\u2019s races and has dropped out of contention for a series victory. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \n Go Dutch<\/span> had to fend off a strong challenge from in-form Philippe Pringiers on the L20 Time Out<\/span>, who won on handicap in the second race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The past weekend\u2019s races saw Time Out<\/span> take second place on the series scoreboard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The L26 Equation<\/span>, co-skippered by Richard and Edmund Tough, had to settle for third in both races. In the first race the cruising boats were led home by Zi<\/span>a<\/span> (a Holiday 23 single-handed by Barry Ross) in fourth, followed by Ken Newton\u2019s Libre<\/span> (an Endurance 37). The results reversed for the second race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In both races Mark Smeddle on his Caribbea<\/span> 30 Plain Sailing <\/i>was sixth and Piet Henning on his Carter<\/span> 33 Pula<\/i> seventh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Light conditions were challenging in the opening race, but this was good preparation for the 3D Cooling GBYC Gaul Regatta in August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On Sunday (26 June), several yacht
