Lucas is baie opgewonde vir die geleentheid om die gemeenskap op \u2019n ho\u00ebr vlak te dien (\u201c\u2019Antie Tannas\u2019 reg vir uitdaging,\u201d <em>DistriksPos &amp; Helderberg Gazette<\/em>, Woensdag 13 Julie 2022).<\/p>\n<p>Brendyn Alloys, die sekretaris van Strand GPF het bevestig dat die spesiale vergadering op 14 September by die VGK-kerk in Derdestraat in Strand sal plaasvind. \u201cDie vergadering begin 18:00. Die enigste doel en eintlik die hoofdoel van die vergadering is om \u2019n nuwe voorsitter te verkies,\u201d s\u00ea Alloys. <\/p>\n<p>Hy vertel dat indien \u2019n lid wat dien as onder-voorsitter of enige van die ander poste in die GPF verkies word om voorsitter te word, dan sal daardie persoon se pos ook oopgaan en dan sal daar iemand moet verkies word vir daardie posisie ook.<\/p>\n<div class=\"p\">\n<div class=\"p\">\n<div class=\"p\">Volgens Alloys is die spesiale vergadering gere\u00ebl vir die GPF se uitvoerende komiteelede, verteenwoordigers van die departement van gemeenskapsveiligheid asook afgevaardiges van alle organisasies op Strand GPF se databasis. Al hierdie afgevaardigdes kan iemand nomineer vir die voorsitterspos en dis hoe die verkiesing gaan plaasvind.<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"p\">\n<p>\u201cDis belangrik om te onthou dat slegs organisasies wat al langer as drie maande op ons databasis is die vergadering kan bywoon en kan deelneem aan die verkiesing van \u2019n nuwe voorsitter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alloys verduidelik voorts dat die spesiale vergadering en verkiesing in oorstemming met die grondwet vir gemeenskapspolisi\u00ebringsforums en die GPF-raad gehou word om juis die geloofwaardigheid van die nuutverkose leierskap te verseker en
