Lwandle detectives launched a manhunt for a murder suspect who shot and killed a 42-year-old Khayelitsha man in Lwandle on Thursday 25 August. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police responded to the incident, which occurred near the barbecue stands opposite the Lwandle Hostel in Vulindlela Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The victim was with his three friends when an unknown suspect shot him multiple times in the head and upper body. He succumbed to his wounds on the scene. A 39-year-old female bystander was wounded in the leg in the shooting. She was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Information collected on the scene confirmed the gunman shot only the deceased and not any of his friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Circumstances around the case are still under investigation by the Lwandle police detectives. The motive for the killing is yet to be established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
