The annual Cansa Relay For Life Helderberg took place at Hottentots Holland High School on Saturday 30 September through to Sunday 1 October, where a theme of \u201cShipwreck\u201d was embraced by all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancer survivors and those still going through treatment and their caregivers were the special guests of honour at the event, which attracted more than 100 participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event started at 18:00 when a 12\u2013hour relay commenced and ended at 06:00 the next morning. Candles were lit in remembrance of those taken by cancer, and throughout the night a host of activities kept everyone on their feet. Floating trophies were handed out for best team spirit, best plot, most active and best cancer awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
