Breadline Africa celebrates five years of being part of the PNA Funky Socks Day campaign, as beneficiary alongside Rally to Read and Matla a Bana, this year.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What started as a playful idea around colourful socks has grown into a campaign that brings schools, families and workplaces together in support of children across Southern Africa.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Breadline Africa is grateful to again be part of a campaign that reminds people that doing good can also feel joyful \u2013 because sometimes support looks serious and sometimes it looks like bright socks worn with purpose.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2026 campaign officially launched on Tuesday (16 June) and National Funky Socks Day will be held on Friday 11 September.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, every R10 sticker sold in Southern Africa will help support the work of Breadline Africa, Rally to Read and Matla a Bana, organisations united by a shared commitment to children.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For Breadline Africa, funds raised through the campaign will again help deliver educational resource packs to early childhood development centres in under-resourced communities. Last year’s support provided 50 educational resource packs filled with learning materials and stationery to help young children learn through play.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last year’s campaign raised R2 million across Southern Africa.
